DEATH: REV. ELMER B. MAYNE
Rev. Elmer B. Mayne, age 65, died October 3, 1992 in a Salt Lake hospital.
Born February 25, 1927 in Colfax, Texas to Elmer Burnell and Minnie Oliver Mayne. Married Mary Ann Taylor, July 17, 1954 in Shreveport, Lousiana. He served as a United Methodist minister in the Texas Conference for 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, Salt Lake; sons: Stephen and wife, Junko, Salt Lake; Kevin and Wife, Judy Ann, Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter, Judy Mayne, Denver, Colorado; three grandchildren: Jennifer, Cynthia, Kaitlin, brother, Dalton Mayne, Seagoville, Texas; sisters: Myrtle Morris, and Celeta Whitton, both Canton, Texas. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, October 5, 1992 at the First Methodist Church, 203 South 200 East. Friends may call at Evans & Early Mortuary, 374 East 100 South, Sunday 4-6 p.m. Additional memorial services will be held Saturday, October 10, in Vidor, Texas. Funeral directors, Evans & Early.
