ELMOND F. McCARTY

MOBILE, Ala. -- Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., from the chapel of Rodney Funeral Home, for Elmond Foster McCarty, 68, Beaumont, who died Wednesday morning in George County Hospital. McCarty was a former resident of Stringer. Burial will be in Springhill Memorial Gardens in Mobile.

McCarty is survived by his widow; four sons; five daughters; 22 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers; and one sister.

Visitation will be after 9 p.m. Friday at Radney Funeral Home.

McCARTY, SR.

Mr. Elmond Foster McCarty, Sr. -- A native of Collins, Mississippi and former resident of Wilmer, residing in Beaumont, Mississippi for the past eight years died in a Lucedale hospital on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1975, at 10 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Loisa McCarty, Beaumont, Mississippi; four sons, Elmond McCarty, Jr., Ray McCarty, both of Mobile, Dale McCarty, Gautier, Mississippi and Lea McCarty, Laurel, Mississippi; five daughters, Mrs. Barbara Nell Spivey, Mrs. Lola Estell, both of Mobile, Mrs. Gay Coley, Little Rock, Arkansas, Mrs. Delores Harris, Mobile and Mrs. Bobbie Jean Payne, Warner Robbins, Georgia; three brothers, H. O. McCarty, Dewey McCarty and Reuben McCarty, all of Laurel, Mississippi; one sister, Mrs. Irene Rogers, Stringer, Mississippi; 22 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Saturday, October 11 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Spring Hill Memorial Gardens.
