Elner S. Duck
Elner Sibley Duck, 69, a longtime resident of Liberty, died June 6, 2001, at Lane Memorial Hospital in Zachary, La.
Visitation is 5-10 tonight at Brown Funeral Home in Liberty, and 10 a.m. Friday until services there at 2 p.m. Bro. Tony Fowler will officiate. Burial will be at Whittington Cemetery in Liberty.
Mrs. Duck was born April 4, 1932, in Baton Rouge, La. She was the daughter of Alvin Sibley and Lillian Elizabeth Sibley. She was a homemaker and a member of New Day Church in Liberty.
Mrs. Duck was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bunyan Duck Jr.; a brother, Sidney Sibley; and two sisters, Daisy Bell Hood and Ruby Anna Sibley.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Patsy Duck of Liberty; two daughters and one son-in-law, Martha Hughes of Marietta, Ga., and Mary ``Liz'' Kinchen and Warren Kinchen of Watson, La.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Oscar Sibley of Walker, La.; and a sister, Annie Lee Alonzo of Walker.
