Mrs. O. E. Givens
Last rites for Mrs. O. E. Givens, who died at the age of 64 Thursday in a Shreveport hospital, were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Coax Baptist church. The Revs. Wilson Rawles and Ray Cargle officiated.
Mrs. Givens is survived by her husband, Oscar E. Givens, Haughton; two sons, W. E. Ferguson, Ferriday, and Luther Ferguson, Winnsboro; four daughters, Mrs. H. W. McClelland, Mrs. M. O. Stone, Mrs. George C. Thomas and Miss Edna Ferguson, all of Shreveport; six step-daughters, Mrs. Judith Jones, Mrs. J. C. Robert and Mrs. Hettie Colter, all of Las Vegas, Nev., Mrs. Elsie Beer, Winnsboro, Mrs. G. L. Colter and Mrs. Elsie Arnette both of Hope, Ark.; three brothers, Jessie Whitney, Bakersfield, Calif., Archie and Edward Whitney, both of Winnsboro; two sisters, Mrs. May Cook and Mrs. Alice McClelland, both of Winnsboro; a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were George Thomas, Weldon Wilkerson, Ed Ferguson, James Ray Whitney, J. B. Seymore and Leo Burns, Jr.
