Elsie Bennett Dark

Funeral services for Elsie Bennett Dark, 93, of Winnsboro will be at 3 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004, at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimmy Harper officiating.

Interment will follow at Ogden cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.

Mrs. Dark passed away Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004 in South Carolina. She was born in Boyle, Miss., and a longtime resident of Louisiana. She resided for the past 12 years in South Carolina. Mrs. Dark taught elementary school and Sunday school for 40 years and she was a member of Boeuf River Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Ron Paris of Fountain Inn, S. C.; her granddaughter and her husband, Monica and Jay Cox of Simpsonville, S. C.; two great-grandsons, Jay Madden and Austin Bennett Cox of Simpsonville, S. C.; two sisters, Reavie McCalman and Mirva Smith, both of Homer, La.; and a sister-in-law, Florence Bennett of Winnsboro; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband. P. L. Dark and a grandson, Will L. Madden.

Memorials may be made to Baptist Children's Home in Monroe or Boeuf River Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until service time Thursday.
