Elsie Fryou

Elsie Fryou, age 85, of Wiggins, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 in Ocean Springs.

Mrs. Fryou was a native of Mt. Olive, Mississippi and had been a long-time resident of the MS Gulf Coast. She formerly worked for Fryou's Bench Advertising and the Avenue Theater in ticket sales, both in Biloxi, and as a seamstress at the E. R. Moore Garment Factory in Ocean Springs. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, having served as the relief society president. In 1952, she was the Queen of the VFW. She belonged to several different travel trailer clubs, having served as the secretary & treasurer of the Airstream Travel Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Brooks and Daisy Harvey; and two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Charles R. Fryou of Wiggins; three children, Charles L. Fryou and wife, Joy of Port O'Conner, Texas, Glenda F. Conard and husband, James of Wiggins, and Curtis E. Fryou and wife, Selina of Ocean Springs; sister, Dee H. Ball of Kansas City; sister-in-law, Evelyn Fryou of Ocean Springs; sister-in-law, Myrtle Lechner and husband, Ralph of Biloxi; nine grandchildren: Charlene, Carrie, Jeff, Chris, Kevin, Kristie, Amy, Kelly and Capt. Brian; and eleven great-grandchildren: Valentina, Noah, Marianna, Tyler, Megan, Daniel, Gehrig, Lexie, Christian, Braden and Jack.

Friends are invited to join the Fryou family for visitation tonight from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Riemann Memorial Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi. The celebration of life service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday in the funeral home chapel, followed by interment in Southern Memorial Park.
