Elsie Burkhalter

Elsie Burkhalter, 78, of Baytown, passed away Thursday at the Triumph Hospital in Baytown. She was a native of Winnfield, Louisiana, previously lived in Houston and had resided in the Baytown area since 1966. She enjoyed being with her family, fishing and all outdoor activities and was a member of the Springs of Life Assembly Church. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday at the Sterling-White Chapel Funeral Home in Highlands. Burial will follow at the White Chapel Cemetery in Highlands.

She is survived by: Husband: Charles B. Burkhalter of Baytown; Children: Sondra K. Lindsey of Baytown, Glen Conn of Baytown and Greg McGowen of Austin; Grandson: Chad Lindsey and his wife Sarah of Baytown and Great-Grandchildren: Kayla, Kara and Kassie-Mae.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2005 at the Sterling-White Chapel Funeral Home in Highlands.
