Mrs. Duncan's Funeral Set For Thursday

Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Metcalf Funeral Home at 2pm. Thursday for Mrs. Elva Ella Duncan, 78, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jimmie Odessa Kelley in Houston at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. G.M. Coe paster of the Mims Memorial Baptist church will officiate. Burial will be in the Conroe Memorial Park cemetery.

Mrs. Duncan was born in Sikes La December 31,1878, but had been a resident of Conroe for the past 20 years.

Survivors include the husband, Walter Duncan of Conroe; one daughter, Mrs. Jimmie Odessa Kelley of Houston; five sons; Uy Kelly of Houston Texas; and Charlie, Benny, Claude and Willie Thornton of California; One brother W.E. Underwood of Winsborough [sic Winnsboro] La; two sisters Mrs. Sidney Dunn of Sikes La, and Mrs. J.W. Byrd of Winsborough La [sic Winnsboro]; and two grandchildren.
