Elvie Tucker

Services for Elvie Tucker, 71, of Greenwood, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Williams and Lord Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Tucker, a retired foreman with Bunch Engineering Co., died this morning at his home at 419 Kinney St.

A native of Leake County, he had lived in Greenwood for the past 35 years. He was a World War II veteran and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Lillie Richardson Tucker; a son, Thurman J. Tucker of Amory; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The Rev. Rayford Duck will officiate at the services.

Pallbearers will be W. H. Jackson, Pete Galey, Norman Haskins, Troy Banks, Billy Nokes, R. V. Teal, James Burchfield and Ernest Bryant.

Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
