Parish Man Is Killed In Texas

Interment Made At Welcome Home

Funeral services for Elvin Pauley of Houston, Texas, a former parish man, who was killed Wednesday afternoon at 2:15 o'clock of last week, in an explosion at a steel plant where he was employed, were held on Friday morning at the Columbia Baptist church.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Friday and interment was made in the Welcome Home cemetery, east of Grayson.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Helen Pauley and a son, Elvin Glenn; his mother, Mrs. Eula Pauley of near Grayson; eight brothers, Elmer Pauley of Springhill, G. W. Pauley of Monroe, Melvin and Lawrence Pauley of near Grayson, and Frank, Clyde, Henry and Arthur Pauley, all of the Clarks community; two sisters, Mrs. D. McClary of Springhill and Mrs. Rudy Williamson of the Cross Roads community.

His wife is the former Miss Helen Harrison, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Harrison of the Eastside. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Grant of Cross Roads.
