Elvis “Bob” Brown
August 19, 1926 - November 05, 2010

Elvis “Bob” Brown passed away Friday, November 5, 2010 in Jackson at the age of 84 years. He and his twin brother, Arvis were born August 19, 1926 to Henry and Vissie (Erskine) Brown in Grayson, LA. Elvis joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17. He would spend his leisure time at the beach in San Francisco and met Phylliss, his future wife, at Skateland in Playland. They were married September 12, 1948 in San Francisco. Elvis worked in the construction business and eventually got his contractor's license and started E H Brown Construction Company in Daly City. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and American Legion. Elvis enjoyed playing pinnacle and bowled until he no longer could. He was very close to his family, loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and will be missed very much.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Dutch Monroe of Valley Springs, Janice and Rick Kromm of Jackson; grandchildren, Melissa Amaral, Jennifer Thomas; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Heather, Andrew, Mackenzie, and Emily.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phylliss Brown and twin brother, Arvis Brown.

Friends are invited to attend a visitation Thursday, November 11 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Daneri Mortuary in Jackson. A funeral service will be held Friday, November 12, 1:00 P.M. at Daneri Mortuary Chapel in Jackson. Inurnment will be in the Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in Colma.
