Services for Mr. Elvis “Buddy” Peppers, 61 of Columbia were 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, from the Springhill Baptist Church at Kelly with the Rev.'s George Bonner and Bruce Weatherford officiating.
Interment followed in the Roberts Cemetery at Kelly. Services were under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia.
Elvis Peppers was born on January 4, 1939 in Winn Parish to the union of his late parents Edwin and Izena McNaughton Peppers.
Mr. Peppers was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vera D. Peppers of Columbia; two sons, Billy Peppers of Grayson and Barry Peppers of Pasadena, TX; two daughters, Betty Phillips of Grayson and Becky Peppers of Monroe; two brothers, Lloyd Peppers of Santa Rosa, CA and Joe Peppers of Winnsboro; two sisters, Rose Robinson of Crowville and Ethel Crain of Grayson; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
