Elzie Carl Adkison

Graveside services for ELZIE CARL ADKISON, 90, were held Friday, April 4, at 10 a. m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Timpson with Rev. Quinby Collier officiating.

Mr. Adkison died Thursday, April 3, 1997, in Pine Grove Nursing Center. He was born May 16, 1906, in Shelby County to Joseph and Emma King Adkison. He was a fa[r]mer.

He is survived by four sons, Joe Adkison of Timpson, Carl Wayne Adkison of Nacogdoches, Bobby Ray Adkison of Evergreen, Colo., and Charles Adkison of Houston; four daughters, Maxie Adkison of Nacogdoches, Bernice Hudman of Timpson, Lavillion Sue Cox of Nacogdoches and Barbara Lindsey of Houston; two sisters, Lessie Eaves of Timpson and Billie Ross of Ft. Worth; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Taylor Funeral Home.
