McCARTY, ELZIE F.

Died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1976, at approximately 4 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. He was 55, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Sykes [sic Sikes]. He was a maintenance superintendent for the Louisiana State School for the Deaf.

Body at Rabenhorst Funeral Home. Body will be moved to Columbia where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Arrangements in Columbia being handled by Riser and Son Funeral Home. Burial in the Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson.

He is survived by his wife, Hila Mae McCarty, Baton Rouge; daughter, Mrs. C. T. (Rebecca) Clausen, Baton Rouge; two son[s], Jerry L. McCarty, Shreveport, and Tommy D. McCarty, Farmerville; three sisters, Mrs. Maureen Sanders and Mrs. Vina Sanders, both of Sykes [sic Sikes], and Mrs. Vocie Sanders, Pollock; three brothers, Wayne J. McCarty Sr., West Monroe, Floyd McCarty, Natchitoches, and Cecil McCarty, Winnfield; three grandchildren.

He was a member of the Baptist faith.
