Embry Taunton
BUTLER -- Graveside services for Embry Taunton, 85, of Butler will be held on Thursday, June 19th, at 3P.M. in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Taunton passed away on Tuesday, June 17th at his residence. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, a member of the American Legion, and was in the Marine Corps during World War II. He was a lifelong resident of Taylor County and was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Clara Harmon Taunton.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Barfield Taunton; sons, Andy (Lorie) Taunton of Americus and Eddie (Gay) Taunton of Homer, Alaska; daughter, Lynne (William) Taunton, Butler; brothers, Alfred Taunton, Butler and Calvin Taunton, Reynolds; grandchildren, Jonathan, Alicia and Colton Taunton, Americus; Ellie Taunton, Homer, Alaska.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lewis Bone, Lester Bone, Milton Bone, Robert Joiner, Bernard Joiner and Keith Taunton.
Goddard - McLeighton Funeral Home of Reynolds is in charge of arrangements.
