EDDINGS, EMILY FONDREN of Montevallo died May 23, 1995 at the age of 80. She was preceded in death by her son, William Claude Eddings and husband, Robert F. Eddings.

She is survived by her son, Robert F. Eddings, Jr.; granddaughters, Vivian Thomas and Sheri Robinson; great granddaughters, Stephanie and Laura Thomas; sister, Virgie Kornegay; nieces, Carolyn Hubbard, Dorothy Smith and Clara Kizzah; and her best friend for 60 years, Lynda Randolph.

She was a well known and loved school teacher in the Marvel and Helena areas for almost thirty years. After retiring from teaching, she worked as a child welfare worker. She loved children and animals, and spent her life taking care of those in need.

There will be a memorial service at Underwood Baptist Church, where she was a member, on Saturday, May 27th, at 1:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Brookwood Hospice or The American Cancer Society.
