Emma Aline McCarty
Emma Aline McCarty, 80, of West Monroe went to teach the Angels new songs on Saturday, March 6 2010. Born October 2, 1929, to the late E. B. and Thelma Allbritton, she was a beloved Mother and Grandmother.
She had fought many battles, but is now in the presence of our lord, with a new body which to spend eternity.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, G. W. McCarty, daughter Judy McCarty, brothers Jack Allbritton, Earl Allbritton and James Allbritton, sister Lucille Joiner, all of West Monroe and Mozelle Legg of Laurel Miss.
She is survived by daughter Dianne Underwood and husband Carl of Columbia La., Sons Randy McCarty and wife Debbie of West Monroe, Jack McCarty and wife Karen of Chatham, sister Annie Phillips and husband Lawrence of Eros, brother Joe Allbritton and wife Florence of West Monroe, sisters-in-law Bea Allbritton and Gloria Allbritton of West Monroe, Janice Galantay and husband Geno of Ft. Worth TX, brother-in-laws Gene McCarty and wife Mary of West Monroe, Nathan McCarty of Shreveport, 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandson, numerous nieces and nephews. She loved each one in her own special way.
Pallbearers will be, Jimmy Allbritton, Teddy Allbritton, Davy Underwood, Marty Underwood, Rory Marks, and Jerry Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Kaleb Underwood, Taylor McCarty and Grayson McCarty.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 9th, from 5pm to 8pm at Kilpatrick's in West Monroe. Service will be Wednesday, March 10th at 2pm at Kilpatrick's with the Rev. Joel Brackett and Rev. Conway Strong officiating.
The family would like to thank the Nurses and staff of Landmark Nursing Home for the care and attention given to our mother. The care and compassion given by some who are called to this special field, to take care of our loved ones at times of special needs is not realized and rewarded nearly enough.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Luna Assembly of God's building fund, at 2843 Red Cut Road, West Monroe La. 71292.
