Emma Elena Ward

Emma Elena Ward, (nee-McCarty), 89, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at home.

She was born December 11, 1926 in Stringer, Mississippi to the late Jeffrey F. and Emma D. McCarty.

Elena lived most of her life in Cleveland, Ohio. She enjoyed being a homemaker and volunteering at the West Side Community Center.

She is survived by her children, Jerry L. Ward (Rita), David Ward, Mary Sue Schlabach (Orris), and Jeanne Lisa Roldan (Angelo); many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Elena is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Ward; children, Darlene Filidoro, Howard Ward, Martha Clayton, Edward Ward and Thomas Ward and grandsons, Angelo Roldan, Jr. and Joseph Filidoro.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 8, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00 A.M..at the Bodnar-Mahoney Funeral Home, 3929 Lorain, Ave. Cleveland, OH 44113.
