Emma Eugenia Whatley, 78, of Vidor died Friday, Aug. 27 in Vidor.

Funeral was conducted Monday, Aug. 30 at Calvary Baptist Church in Vidor with a graveside service at Cryer Cemetery in Oakdale, La., under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Vidor.

A native of Pineville, La., she lived in Vidor 44 years and was a retired driver for Munro's Dry Cleaner.

Survivors include her husband, Louis O. Whatley of Vidor; sons, Louis Cecil Whatley, Roy Leon Whatley, and Gerald Whatley, all of Vidor; daughters, Shirley Johnson of Nederland, Gwendolyn Godeaux of Vidor, and Doris Shifflett of Port Neches; brother, Daniel Emmons of Chicago; sister, Gayle King of Turkey Creek, La.; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
