MRS. EMMA S. THOMAS

QUITMAN, Miss. -- Funeral services for Mrs. Emma S. Thomas, 88, Route 2, Heidelberg, who died in a Laurel hospital Wednesday night, will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Shady Grove Baptist Church. Rev. John B. McGrew will officiate, assisted by Rev. Edd Grayson, Rev. Byron Malone, and Rev. Bernard Higgins. Burial will be in the Vossburg Cemetery. The body will remain at Walters' Funeral Home until 4 p.m. Friday, after which it will be taken to the family residence.

Mrs. Thomas was the widow of the late J. A. Thomas.

Survivors include two daughters, Miss Minnie Thomas, Route 2, Heidelberg, and Mrs. Velma Speights, Braxtonville; three sons, V. J. Thomas, Quitman and C. S. and W. A. Thomas, both of Heidelberg; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
