Dammon Sr., Emmett G.

Emmett G. ``E.G.'' Dammon, Sr., 90, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Monday, January 21, 2002. A native of Pineville, LA. and a resident of the Port Arthur area since 1937. He retired from Texaco as an operator with over 30 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Port Arthur, where his son, James serves a pastor. He served as an Former alderman, Volunteer Fireman and Fire Chief for the Town of Pear Ridge.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home with Dr. Johnny Dammon, Emmett's Grandson officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Village Mills Cemetery in Village Mills under the direction of Clayton Thompson. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel M. Dammon of Port Arthur; three sons, Emmett G. ``Pete'' Dammon, Jr. of Slidell, LA., James Dammon of Port Arthur and Robert Gene Dammon of Port Neches; twelve grandchildren, Twenty eight great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren.
