Murray Caldwell

NATCHITOCHES -- Funeral services for Murray Caldwell, 64, of Natchitoches, were at 10 a.m. today at First Baptist Church of Bastrop with the Rev. L. H. McCollough officiating.

Burial was in Liberty Hill Cemetery under direction of Golden Funeral Home of Bastrop.

Mr. Caldwell died Wednesday in Bastrop while on a business trip.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, a former resident of Bastrop and member of the Louisiana Baptist Foundation Board. He was founder of the Bank of Morehouse in Bastrop and a former owner of the C. N. Dalton Insurance Agency of Bastrop.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ruth Caldwell of Natchitoches; one daughter, Mrs. Dianne Temple of Natchitoches; four brothers, the Rev. Claude Caldwell of Little Rock, Ark., Chapman Caldwell of Liberty Hill, Gordon Caldwell of Shreveport and Ardis Caldwell of Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. Nova Harrison of Arcadia and Mrs. Myrtle Dalton of Natchitoches; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Clayton Moore, Emmett Stephenson, Ted Flynn, Jamie Orr, Tommie Rolfe and Bill Young.
