THOMAS, MRS. ERLENE BOURQUE

Died at 8:50 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 1980, at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center. She was 54, a native of Gloster, Miss., and a resident of Watson.

Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday and after 8 a.m. Monday. Religious services at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, conducted by the Rev. W.S. McMasters. Burial in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery.

Survived by her husband, Maxie Thomas, Watson; two daughters, Mrs. Carolyn B. Jackson, Watson, and Mrs. Linda B. Tarver, Prairieville; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Shirley Vides, San Salvador, El Salvador; two sons, Melvin Jean Bourque, Walker, and Darryl Glynn Bourque, Watson; two stepsons, Maxie L. Thomas, Baton Rouge, and Robert W. Thomas, Bakersfield, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Byrdie Miller, Baton Rouge, Mrs. Flo Davis, Grangeville, and Mrs. Dollye Chaney, Clinton; five brothers, S.V. Bass, Gloster, Lloyd Bass, Covington, Burwell Bass, Clinton, Jene Bass, Denham Springs, and Frank Bass, Walker; eight grandchildren and six stepgrandchildren.

Preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin Bourque, and a brother, Don Bass.

She was a member of Revival Temple Church, Walker.
