Dallas Man Reported Killed In Oklahoma
Ernest E. Carroll, 42, of 1218 Cooper street, a tool dresser in the oil fields of Blackwell, Ok., was killed there Monday, according to information received in Dallas. Details concerning his death were not given. Mr. Carroll had lived in Dallas about fifteen years, but had been working in Blackwell about three months.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Misses Inez and May Cooper [sic Carroll] and a son, Edwin Cooper [sic Carroll], all of Dallas; four brothers, Douglas Carroll of Corsicana, Cola and John Carroll of Caldwell and Charles Carroll of Houston, and four sisters, Miss Lucy Carroll of Corsicana, Mrs. Carrie Wieland of Twin Falls, Iowa, Mrs. Anna Ward Holton of New Mexico and Mrs. Maggie Jackson of Fort Worth.
The body will arrive here Wednesday morning. Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock at the Weiland funeral parlors.The Rev. Fred C. Eastham, pastor of the McKinney Avenue Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.
