Rev. Eselle Donald Parker, Sr.
Rev. Eselle Donald Parker, Sr., age 85, of Sikes, La., passed away Monday, June 11, 2007, at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Alexandria, La. He served his country in the Army during World War II. Rev. Parker was a licensed minister in the United Pentecostal Church.
He was the son of the late James W. Parker and the late Laura B. (Lawrence) Parker.
He is survived by his
five sons, Eselle D. Parker and wife Charlotte of Sikes, La.; Troyce Parker and wife Dottie of Sikes, La.; Larson Parker and wife Beverly of Winnfield, La.; Marcus Parker and wife Mary of Bentley, La.; Robin Parker and wife Paige of Sikes, La.;
one sister,
one brother,
fourteen grandchildren, [and]
twenty five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at The Family Church in Winnfield from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Wednesday, June 13, 2007 and from 9:00 AM to service time Thursday, June 14, 2007. Funeral services will be held at The Family Church at 11:00 AM Thursday, with , Bro. H. W. Smith, Bro. Keith L. Smith, and Bro. Fred Foster officiating. Interment will be at Hurricane Grove Cemetery in Sikes, La.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
