Estella Langdon Flowers

Estella Langdon Flowers, 89, of N.C. 210, Four Oaks, died Saturday evening. She was born in Johnston County on July 25, 1915, to the late Lemuel Vance and Mary Catherine Langdon. She was a life-long member of St. Mary's Grove FWB Church and worked for 23 years in food service with the Johnston County School System.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ransom Flowers; a son, W. Jerry Flowers; and a son-in-law, Roy E. Benson.

Funeral services were Monday evening at 8 in the chapel of Minshew Funeral Home. Burial was this morning at 11 at Sunset Memorial Park.

Survivors include a daughter, Trudy Benson of Four Oaks; grandchildren, Tonya Messer of Four Oaks, Keith Flowers of Danville, Va., Cindy Howard of Selma and Teresa Smith of Smithfield; a stepgrandchild, Rusty Evans of Clayton; and great-grandchildren, Jordan Autry, Bray Autry, Blake Messer, Adam Evans and Anna Grace Evans.
