Mrs. Johnson, 83, Succumbs

Mrs. Estella Lee Johnson, 83, of Route 2, Dunn, widow of William Allen Johnson, died at her home Tuesday. A native of Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Henrietta Tart Lee. She had been a member of Hickory Grove Primitive Baptist Church for about 42 years.

A funeral service was conducted in the Hickory Grove Church at 4 p.m. Thursday by Elder A. H. Morgan, assisted by Elder Lester Lee. Burial was in the Lee-Johnson family cemetery.

Surviving are three sons, Coy and Allen C. Johnson of Route 2, Dunn, and Corby Johnson of Route 2, Four Oaks; four daughters, Mrs. Iola Godwin, Mrs. R. J. Martin and Mrs. J. O. Utley of Route 2, Dunn, and Mrs. W. I. Herring of Route 3, Clinton; one brother, P. A. Lee of Dunn; one sister, Miss Azubah Lee of Raleigh; 23 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
