Ester Mae Byrd
Ester Mae Byrd, 77, of Laurel, died on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, at her residence.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Laurel. The Rev. Hiram Eaves will officiate.
Byrd was a homemaker and a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a son, Rayford Walsworth.
Survivors include her husband, Rathell Byrd of Laurel; three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert H. and Gladys Sheffield of Laurel, Marion Clay and Glenda Sheffield of Ft. Worth, TX., and Willie L. and Candace Walsworth of Laurel; a daughter and son-in-law, Merlene and Bubba White of Laurel; sister, Juanita Buckley of Gulfport; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Morris Welch, Paul Sheffield, Adam Walsworth, Bill White, Harold Davis and Harvey Phillips.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, which is in charge of the arrangements.
