PHILLIPSBURG -- Esther Marie Thacker, 82, Phillipsburg, died Wednesday at the Phillips County Hospital, Phillipsburg.
Miss Thacker was born July 28, 1901 in Springfield, Ill., and lived in Phillipsburg for several years. She was a retired music teacher who formerly taught at the now-closed Prairie View High School in western Phillips County.
She was a member of the PEO, Rebekah Lodge, Cultus Club, Domestic Science Club, PBW Club and the Calvary Baptist Church, Phillipsburg.
Surviving is a nephew, Donald Nelson, Santa Barbara, Calif.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, the Rev. Michael Sanders officiating. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery, McPherson.
The family suggests memorials to the Calvary Baptist Church.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today.
