E. L. Chandler Services Today

Funeral services will be held for E. L. Chandler, 63, 111 Stoner Ave., at 11:30 a.m. in Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel Thursday with the Rev. Kenneth Gibson, pastor of Parkview Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Chandler died in Highland Hospital at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday after a short illness. He was a native of Brookhaven, Miss., and was a retired Shreveport welder. A resident of Shreveport 34 years, he was a member of Parkview Baptist Church.

Survivors are his widow; one son, M. E. Chandler of New Orleans; two daughters, Mrs. John Lavender Jr. of Findlay, Ohio, and Mrs. L. C. Heidecker of Shreveport; three brothers, Preston Chandler Sr., Ernest Chandler and J. B. Chandler, all of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Middleton and Mrs. K. O. Lunsford, both of Shreveport; and nine grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John Chandler, J. R. Middleton, K. O. Lunsford, James Chandler, Harold Hansen Jr. and Earl Lunsford.
