Ethel Lynn Doucette
October 4, 1938 - August 29, 2015

Ethel Doucette, 76, a resident of Westlake, was entrusted to God's loving care on Saturday, August 29, 2015. She was a school teacher for 25 years. Also, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Westlake for over 30 years. She and her late husband loved to travel and were avid campers. In addition, her favorite book to read was the Bible and she loved her Lord and Savior, along with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Bryan Doucette, Seabrook, TX and Rick Doucette (Amy) of Cove, TX; stepdaughter, Dwana White (Randy), Westlake; grandchildren, Dusty (Jodi) and Jesse (Amber) Olivier, Payton, Cooper, and Gunner Doucette; great-grandchildren, Demi, Kainen, Kynley, Camille, and Ella Olivier. Also, she is survived by a sister Carol Courmier of Lake Charles, LA., sister in law Brenda Butcher of Farmerville, LA., and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years Weldon Doucette and her parents Earl and Clara Butcher, a brother Charlie Butcher, along with grandson Jason Olivier.

Visitation will commence at Hixson Funeral Home in Westlake on Monday, August 31, 2015 from 5:00 p.m until 8:00 p.m. The visitation will continue on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until Christian service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Oliver McGuire as officiate. The burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake.
