Mrs. Ethel S. “Sandy” Verret, age 76 of Tullos, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013.

Born Friday, May 07, 1937 in Tullos, Louisiana, she was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Dennis Clarence Sanders, Sr. and Donie Marie Sanders; Sisters, Alma Sanders and Virgie Newchurch.

Those left to cherish her memory include her Husband of 56 years, Nicholas F. Verret, Sr.; Sons Rev. Nick Verret Jr. and Roger Verret; Daughter, Denise V. Thompson and husband Bill; Grandchildren, Brittany Jones, Micah Verret, Matthew Verret, Alex Thompson, Rebecca Greer and Meredith Verret; Six great-grandchildren; Brothers, James M. Sanders and wife Letha and D.C. Sanders, Jr. and wife Evelyn.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 13 at Southern Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM , and again on Sunday, July 14 from 12:00 PM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Southern Funeral Home with Rev. Denver McBroom officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery, in Tullos.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Micah Verret, Matthew Verret, Alex Thompson, Charlie Bice, John Thornton and Kevin Clark. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. K.P. Mauterer, M.D., Lowell Hubbard, Steve Osborn, Gregg Davies and Ricky LeBaron.
