Etta Ann Mehring

COMANCHE -- Etta Ann Mehring, 102, of Comanche, passed away Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, in the home of her granddaughter in Tampa, Fla.

Memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2007, in Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche, with Mike McCord officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Comanche Funeral Home.

She was born Nov. 24, 1903, in Comanche, Indian Territory, the oldest daughter of Woodrow and Viola McDaniel. She married Lt. Col. Charles Mehring, and he preceded her in death. She was a Methodist.

Survivors include two brothers, Bill McDaniel of Duncan, and Ernest McDaniel of Palm Desert, Calif.; a daughter-in-law, Betty Jean Mehring; three grandchildren, Paul Mehring, Charla Moye and Kate Hall Rouse; three great-grandchildren, Liane Moye, Erin and Audrey Hall; and a great-great-grandchild, Kara Lee New, all of Tampa; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Charles F. Mehring; four sisters, Ruby Horton, Helen McDaniel, Lola Gray and an infant sister; and three brothers, Woodrow, Isom and Guy McDaniel.
