Etta E. Rollinson
Etta E. Rollinson, 78, of McComb and former longtime resident of Centreville, died June 2, 2002, at Beacham Memorial Hospital.
Visitation is 6-8 tonight at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster,continuing there at 1 p.m. Tuesday until services at 3 p.m. in Brown chapel. The Rev. Gregh Beaty and the Rev. Hugh Lambert will officiate. Burial will be in Whittington Memorial Cemetery near Gloster.
Mrs. Rollinson was born Dec. 27, 1923, in Sherman, Texas. She was the daughter of Everett Whittington and Alma Tanner Whittington. She was a homemaker and had been a hospital sitter, mostly at Field Memorial Hospital in Centreville. Her family said she was the wife of a pastor and a helpmate to him in his work for the Lord. She was a member of McComb First Church of the Nazarene.
Mrs. Rollinson was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Alton Rollinson of McComb; two sons, S.V. Rollinson of Clovis, N.M., and Elvis Wayne Rollinson of Rio Rancho, N.M.; one daughter, Mildred Boyd of Conroe, Texas; two brothers, Leonard Whittington of Brandon and Marvin Whittington of Independence, La.; one sister, Mary Margaret Rollinson of McComb; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Steve Rollinson, John Boyd, James Boyd, Danny Boyd, Bo Boyd and Basil Wilkinson.
