Eugene Wallace Wilson
September 14, 1935 - September 9, 2014

Eugene Wallace Wilson, of Mart, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center. He was a beloved father, devoted husband and friend to many. A Memorial Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 13, at First Baptist Church, Mart.

Eugene was born September 14, 1935 in Vick, Louisiana to Tommie and Linnie Wilson. He served in the United States Navy from 1954-1957. He married the love of his life, Margaret Ann McConathy in 1959. Eugene never met a stranger and always had an encouraging word to offer. He worked for Texas Power & Light for 28 years before retiring. At the time of his death he was employed by Brazos Higher Education. He leaves behind a legacy of family, love and devotion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommie and Linnie Wilson; and sister, Adis Andrews.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Margaret Wilson; son, Craig Wilson; daughters, Lydia Hardin and husband, William, and Anita Dickey and husband, Scott; grandchildren, Cearra Wilson, Grayson and Rachel Hardin, and Savannah and Devyn Stewart; great-granddaughter, Brooklynn Scott; brother, Rodney Wilson and Bonnie; sister, Erma Kubinski; and extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the First Baptist Church of Mart or Baylor Scott & White Cancer Center Patience Assistance Fund.
