MRS. E. D. HAWKINS

Mrs. E. D. Hawkins, 91, of Rt. 2, Laurel, the former Genie Smith, died Thursday night in a Laurel hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Shady Grove.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 2 p.m. at Memory Chapel with the Revs. G. H. Gordon and Gary Divine officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery.

Survivors are three daughters: Mrs. J. C. (Daisy) Hamilton Sr., Rt. 2, Laural [sic Laurel]; Mrs. J. Roy (Grace) Montgomery, Laurel; Mrs. Norman J. (Thelma) Bourgeois, Baton Rouge, La.; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one brother, Hughie Smith of Gulfport, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are grandsons: Jimmy Hamilton Jr., David Hawkins, Jack Edwards, Edgar Edwards, J. P. Hawkins and Ronnie Hawkins.
