Graveside services for Mrs. Eula Fay Blackshear 84, of Waskom, Texas will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 1:00PM at Restland Cemetery in Waskom under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home in Marshall, Texas. Officiating will be Brother Eric Peyton of First Baptist Church, Waskom.
Fay was born August 23, 1930 in Selma, Louisiana and departed for Heaven March 14, 2015 at her home in Waskom.
Fay married Julius Calvin Blackshear on January 6, 1947. She was a member of the Lydia Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church of Waskom.
Fay was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years; son, Joseph (Jody) Blackshear; mother and father, Edith and Joe Lincecum; Sisters, Bobby Jean Heitz and Charlotte Nugent; Brothers, Don and Billy Joe Lincecum; and infant grandson, Cody Blackshear.
Left to cherish her memory is son and daughter-in-law Calvin and Carolyn Blackshear of Waskom, son George Blackshear of Karnack, and daughter Sue Kyle and husband Mike of Waskom. Grandchildren, Julie Allwhite (Michael), Susan Loyd (Dane), Craig Blackshear (Lindsey), Melanie Waldon (David), Wesley Blackshear (Jamie) plus 14 great grandchildren; and Sister Bertie Nugent of Georgetown, La. Also several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Craig Blackshear, Wesley Blackshear, Michael Allwhite, Dane Loyd, David Waldon and Jesse Moore.
The family would like to thank those who visited with Fay in her last days and the care provided by Marshall Hospice.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Building Fund at First Baptist Church of Waskom, Texas or the charity of your choice.
