Eula Mae Dorsey
Funeral services for Eula Mae Dorsey, 80, of Henderson, will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2009, at Welch Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Crim's Chapel Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Kevin and Lizzy Freeman. Mrs. Dorsey died Friday, March 13, 2009, at a local nursing facility.
Mrs. Dorsey was born November 25, 1928, in Longview, to Wylie and Dessie Owens Freeman. Mrs. Dorsey was a homemaker and a member of Chalk Hill Assembly of God. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed quilting and growing flowers in her greenhouse.
Mrs. Dorsey was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Lee Dorsey; sister, Rena Jones; and brothers, Russell Freeman and Earnest Freeman.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Sharman Dorsey of Longview; her daughter, Charlotte McAfee of Longview; granddaughter, Dr. Kathy McAfee Eubanks and husband, Cary, of Slaton; sisters, Emma Waits, Dorothy Seelbach and Glenda Floyd, all of Henderson; brothers, Rayford Freeman of Longview, Albert Freeman of Henderson, Billy Freeman of Hallsville, James Freeman of Hallsville, Kenneth Freeman of Gladewater and Judson Freeman of Henderson.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. today, March 15, 2009, at Welch Funeral Home, 4619 Judson Road.
