Mrs. Leftwich Service Today
Mrs. John A. Leftwich, 62, a Shreveport resident for 22 years, died Saturday at 11:14 a.m. at the P.&S. Hospital after an illness of five months.
Mrs. Leftwich, who was a member of the Noel Memorial Methodist Church, the Beta Study Club, the Woman's Department Club, the American Legion Auxiliary and the 40 and 8 Club, was a native of Robeline, La.
She is survived by her husband, John A. Leftwich of Shreveport; her mother, Mrs. Eliza Jane Welch of Robeline; one daughter, Mrs. W. J. Williams, Shreveport; one brother, John T. Welch, Robeline; two sisters, Mrs. W. W. Taylor, Robeline, and Mrs. G. F. Fout of Port Arthur, Tex.; and two grandchildren, Mary Emily Rogers and Susan Segale Williams of Shreveport.
Funeral services will be held today at 4 p.m. in the Roseneath Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Sam Nader, pastor of the Noel Methodist Church, officiating.
Pallbearers include W. J. Williams, G. F. Fout, Toxy Brown, Hershel Benefield, Luther Ben Smith, L. M. Fisher, Darrell Ross and Jack L. Elbert.
