Former Parish Woman Buried At Old Bethel
Funeral services for Mrs. J. F. Pauley, aged 73, of Serepta [sic Sarepta], formerly of Grayson, who passed away Tuesday morning at her home were held 3:30 Wednesday afternoon at Old Bethel Baptist church, west of Clarks, with Rev. Franks, pastor of Clarks Pentecostal church in charge.
Interment was made in the Old Bethel cemetery under the direction of the Riser Funeral Home of Columbia.
The deceased resided for many years in the Cross Roads and Old Bethel community, but moved to Serepta [sic Sarepta] some time ago.
She is survived by eight sons: Arthur Pauley of Clarks, Elmer Pauley of Springhill, Lawrence Pauley of near Grayson, and Melvin and G. W. Pauley, both of West Monroe; two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Mae McClary of Serepta [sic Sarepta] and Mrs. Cecil Williamson of Cross Roads community.
She is also survived by four brothers: Charlie Whittington, Blanks Whittington, David Whittington and John Whittington, all of the Mt. Pleasant community; and four sisters: Miss Maggie Whittington, Miss Elma Whittington and Miss Emma Whittington, of Mt. Pleasant and Mrs. Alice Nelson of Cross Roads.
She also leaves to mourn her departure a host of grandchildren and friends who regret to hear of her death.
