Prominent Resident Of Brookhaven Dies

Mrs. Cramer Roberts Dies In New Orleans

BROOKHAVEN, July 31 -- A prominent Lincoln county family often beset by tragedy during the last year is in mourning again today.

Mrs. Cramer Roberts, 41, member of the pioneer Harrington family of Brookhaven died eadly [sic early] Thursday morning in DePaul's Sanitorium. She was admitted to the hospital there on last Friday.

Mrs. Roberts, the former Eunice Harrington, had been ill and a patient in the Kings Daughters Hospital here much of the last few months. Her lengthy hospitalization periods resulted from injuries received in a traffic accident last April.

In the same accident her mother, Mrs. Howard Harrington, was fatally injured, and a sister and her daughter, received severe injuries.

After attending the funeral services still another sister of Mrs. Roberts was badly injured in another accident.

Mrs. Roberts was born and reared in Brookhaven. She graduated from Brookhaven High School and Whitworth College. She has been very active in the work of the First Baptist church and of the B&PW.

Survivors include her husband, Cramer Roberts, and one daughter, Katherine Roberts; three sisters, Miss Elsie Harrington; Brookhaven, Mrs. Bessie Bowers, Jr., Memphis, Mrs. J. O. Keith, Drew; three brothers, James P. Harrington, Brookhaven, Howard Harrington, Columbia, Gerald Harrington, Los Angeles, Calif.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock with the Rev. Brooks Wester and Dr. J. A. Taylor, officiating. Interment will be in Rosehill cemetery.
