Eunice Riser
Services for Eunice Joy Riser, 82, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with Tim Blalock and the Rev. Paul Southerland officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and Saturday from 2 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Riser was born Feb. 28, 1924, in Amite County, the daughter of John Barney McCallister and Ruthie Bates McCallister. She was a retired school bus driver for Adams County Public Schools for 27 years. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom Riser; sisters, Flossie White, Jessie Lee McCallister, Elma Delancy, and Lona Matthews; brothers, Luther McCallister, John McCallister and Allen McCallister.
Survivors include a son, Steve Joy and wife, Mary Kay, of Natchez; a daughter, Ruthie Ann Joy of Natchez; grandchildren, Sara Joy, Jessica Brady, Justin Bruce and Kirstie Bruce; great-grandchildren, Noah Brady and Charity Brady; a number of nieces and nephews; and life-long friend, Donnie Lisenby of Vidalia.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be nephews.
