SIKES -- Services for Eva Gulledge Simmons will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Sikes Baptist Church with the Revs. Kenneth Tarver and Larry Foster officiating. Burial will be in Sikes Cemetery under direction of Southern, Winnfield.
Mrs. Simmons, 85, of Sikes died Monday, Jan. 13, 1997, in Glenwood Medical Center, West Monroe.
She was a lifelong resident of Sikes, where she was a retired owner of a beauty shop. She was a dedicated member and active leader of Sikes Baptist Church. She was an honorary lifetime member of Sikes Wolf Creek Handicraft Guild Inc.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth Simmons of Dodson; and three sisters, Rush Pepper of Laurel, Miss., Bill Cloninger of Alexandria and Ruth McDonald of Benton.
Pallbearers will be Carl Pepper, David Herring, Buford Calhoun, James E. ``Sonny'' McDaniel, Nick Hatten, Dale Hatten and Bert Hatten.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today in the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until time of services Thursday in the church.
