Eva Hughes

JONESBORO -- Eva Hughes, 80, a resident of Hodge, died Sunday morning in a Shreveport nursing home following a long illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Montgomery.

Survivors include three sons, Charles E. Hughes Jr. of Waskom, Texas, John Edward Hughes of Shreveport and William J. Hughes of Baton Rouge; one sister, Mrs. F. H. DeJean of Hodge; one brother, George Wallace Jenkins of Springhill; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
