Witter, Eva Margaret Cox Thompson

Retired registered nurse and resident and native of Baton Rouge, she passed away Monday, Sept. 10, 2007 at her residence. She was 81.

Visitation at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Thursday, Sept. 20, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Victor Messina. Entombment in Roselawn Mausoleum.

Survived by her granddaughter, Echo A. Thompson of Baton Rouge.

Preceded in death by her first husband, Luther Thompson; second husband, Howard B. Witter; and son, James J. Thompson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Society in honor of James J. Thompson.

She was a graduate of Istrouma High school Class of 1943 and Touro Infirmary School of Nursing Class of 1957.
