PHENIX CITY, AL -- Eva Marie Horn, 72, of Phenix City, AL passed away Thursday, February 9, 2006 at The Medical Center, Columbus, GA. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2006 at Main Post Cemetery, Ft. Benning, GA with Rev. Danny Ryals officiating, according to Vance Memorial Chapel, 3738 Hwy 431 N Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends Sunday 6-8pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Horn was born September 21, 1933 in Winsborough [sic Winnsboro], LA., daughter of the late James Newton Carter and Lily Lucille Fathree [sic Fatheree] Carter. She is the widow of Robert Albert Horn, a homemaker and a Baptist by faith.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Gordon, a brother, Ricky Fathree [sic Fatheree] and a sister, Doris Russell.
She is survived by three daughters, Evaette Mays and husband, Ken Mays of Phenix City, AL.; Betty Patton and husband, Roy of Louisiana, Bobbie Whitehurst and husband, Carl of Kentucky.; one son, Marion Answorth of Louisiana; three sisters, Alice Mae, Carol Thompson and Joann Lewis; one brother, Billy Fathree [sic Fatheree]; fifteen grandchildren, Kenneth Mays, Joshua Mays, Erika Mays and Kayla Brown; twenty three great grandchildren; one great great granchild; beloved friend, Thomas Greer.
