Eva Quinn Miller Dawson

Eva Quinn Miller Dawson, 84, a native of the Oxford Community near Gloster, Mississippi, passed away Friday, November 14, 2014, at her son's residence in Vicksburg, Ms.

She was born December 2, 1929 in Amite County, Mississippi to the late Walter Theodore Miller Sr. and Zelma Leona McCaa Miller. She married Luther Carlos Dawson, a minister with the Methodist Protestant Church, and served the church as a missionary for most of her adult life.

She is survived by 4 Sons:
Carlos LaDon Dawson and his wife Darlene,
Dickie Wren Dawson and his wife Gail,
Paul Wayne Dawson Sr. and his wife Debbie,and
Bobby Lane Dawson and his wife Lisa.
1 Daughter: Elsie Loraine Rutherford and her husband Denny.
1 Sister: Geraldine Lofton, and 1 brother: Aaron Eugene Miller.
15 Grandchildren and 23 Great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Theodor “Willie” Miller Sr. and Zelma Leona McCaa Miller, Her husband, Luther Carlos Dawson, 2 brothers, Larry Miller and Alvin Miller, and 1 Grandchild.

Visitation is Sunday, November 16, 2014, at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster, Ms. 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Also visiting Monday, 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral Services at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Brown Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery near Gloster, officiated by Rev. LaDon Dawson and Rev. Bobby Dawson.

Pallbearers are Shawn Dawson, Frank Dawson, Ricky Dawson, Paul Dawson Jr., Daniel Dawson, Chris Rutherford, Taylor Rutherford, Benjamin Dawson, and Carlos Dawson.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Woman's Missionary Society of the Methodist Protestant Church, at Byron Carlisle, Treasurer, 31 Cammack Drive, Grove Hill, Al.
