LUSK, EVELYN B.

Evelyn B. Lusk, a professional caretaker, has gone on into the hands of the ultimate caretaker Tuesday, July 15, 2003, at Liberty Community Living Center, Liberty, Miss. She was 82, a resident of Liberty and a native of Wilkinson County, Miss. She was a retired registered nurse with Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. Healthcare professionals often said she was one of the best nurses they had the pleasure of working with.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Leo Eugene Lusk of Liberty; a son, Tommy Lusk and wife Brenda of Baton Rouge; two grandchildren, Alan and Dianna Lusk, both of Baton Rouge; and a sister, Lorraine Downs of Clinton, Miss.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Beattie and Lela McDowell Beattie; and a brother, Henry Beattie. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Gloster, Miss.

Visiting at Brown Funeral Home, Liberty, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday. Religious service at the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Friday, with Dr. Ken Kirk officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
