Evelyn Dudas
Mrs. Evelyn Finley Dudas, resident of Hampshire Pike, died Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Life Care Center.
A funeral mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Catherine Catholic Church with Rev. Davis Chackaleckel, M.S.F.S. officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with a prayer service following at 8 p.m. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late James F. Finley and Lena Jones Finley. She was a 1931 graduate of Columbia Central High School. She was formerly employed as a cashier at Middle Tennessee Bank and had been a church secretary at St. Barnabas Church in Birmingham, Alabama. She was a communicant of St. Catherine Catholic Church where she was a former member of the Altar Society.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Michael Dudas of Columbia; a son, Michael (Patricia) Dudas, III of Olive Branch, MS; four grandchildren, Timothy (Carla) Dudas, Cheryl (Patrick) Buckley, Andrew (Christy) Dudas all of Olive Branch, MS, Marilyn (Brad) Brooks of Germantown; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel C. Dudas and a sister, Rena Fleming.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Dudas, Andrew Dudas, Brad Brooks, Patrick Buckley, Gary Fisher and Joe Kuhl. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Ben Gardner, Dr. Charles Atnip and employees of Life Care Center.
