Mrs. Evelyn Mayfield

JUNCTION CITY, Ark. -- Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Lucille Mayfield, 63, of Junction City were to be held at 3 p.m. today in Caledonia Baptist Church near Junction City with the Rev. Harold Cook, the Rev. Hugh Nelson and the Rev. Allen Grimmett officiating.

Burial was to be in the church cemetery under direction of Young's Funeral Home of El Dorado, Ark.

She died Monday at her residence from gunshot wounds.

She was the owner and operator of Mayfield's Grocery Store in Caledonia. She was a native of Columbia, La., but was a resident of Junction City since 1952.

Survivors include one son, Harold Otwell of Junction City, Ark.; her mother, Mrs. Carrie E. Ford of Columbia, La.; one brother, W. T. Ford Jr. of West Monroe, La.; one sister, Mrs. Thomas Fisher of Columbia, La.; and two grandchildren.
